Founded in 2018, the BLES PTO is a non-profit organization that exists for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes, including the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The organization will remain noncommercial, nonsectarian and nonpartisan.
Our purpose is to:
- Enhance the educational environment at Berkeley Lake Elementary through volunteer and financial resources.
- Promote communication between the school administration, staff, parents and students.
- Foster pride in Berkeley Lake Elementary throughout the community.

What does the board do? It governs the 501(c)(3) organization that helps to enhance the educational environment at BLES. It provides parent feedback to the school administration and staff and manages over 20 events and fundraisers each year and all of the volunteers it takes to make that successful.
